Blue Jays U11's at Devizes Tournament
Our U11's team played in the Devizes Junior Tournament on Sunday 28th June, the weather was a bit wet but the girls enjoyed their matches. They were in a group of 6 teams, they won 3 and lost two matches, finishing joint 2nd with 17 points, sadly they just missed out the semi's by goal difference.
The girls improved their match play throughout the tournament and are looking forward to playing seven a side next season.

Val and Debs thought they were going for a quiet evening out but were surprised to find Mel & Pam had organised a lovely meal at The Cloisters in Salisbury with the U18 and Ladies team, the evening was a great success.

Annual Blue Jays Junior Tournament
Our 25th Junior Netball Tournament held on Sunday 19th April 2015 was a great success, 41 teams attending from the South, the age ranges were U12, U14 and U16. The standard of netball played was fantastic and this is a credit to the coaches for all their hard work.
The Tournament was held at the newly developed Sarum Academy School with new courts and lovely surroundings the day ran very smoothly, the weather was dry but cold, good netball playing conditions. We were delighted that Rosie Allison England International and Team Bath Player could attend to present the trophies at the end the Tournament. |
The boys, John, Gordon, Tony and J C worked hard at the tuck shop all day selling tea, coffee and lots of cakes, all of which were donated by parents and club members. Pam organised the raffle with prices for adults and children, again all donations from parents and club members and we raised £150 for club funds.
A shooting competition was held from 11.00am to 2.30pm which everyone enjoyed, a ball signed by Rosie was presented to the winner of each age group. Sportsmanship /Fair Play was voted on by the umpires throughout the day and a ball signed by Rosie was presented to the team winner in each group.
I would like to thank everyone who helped organise the tournament, the parents and members who donated cakes and raffle prizes, the man power at the refreshments and everyone else who give up their Sunday to make the day run smoothly. Click here for results table
