The evening started with the High Fives and U13’s playing a versatility tournament and the U16/U19 and ladies playing Fast Five, great fun thanks to the organisers.
We have had a great season with our Ladies 1st team winning the Salisbury Winter League Division one and our U12’s coming runners up in the Salisbury Spire Junior League and in our annual Junior Tournament at Sarum Academy in April, Well done! CLICK HERE to view the full presentation The U12’s team attended the Bournemouth Junior Netball Tournament on Sunday 9th June 2019, it was a beautiful day and the tournemouth was very well organised.
With squad of eight, three year 6’s and five year 7’s the girls played really well, there was four matches before lunch against, Bournemouth Roses, Bournemouth Poppies, Wimborne A and Lawn, and we won all four. As well as our regular school holiday camps for youngsters from U11 to U16, we are also running weekly off-season and pre-season fitness sessions for U16s and adults. Blue Jays A team won the Salisbury Winter League season after being runners up for the last two seasons, they have consistently played to a high standard and deserve the win, Well Done. As a result of the winning the Salisbury league they were invited to play in the end of season county playoffs against the winners from Wiltshire’s two other leagues Swindon and Moonraker, then winners of the playoffs go through to play in the RL3. Blue Jays had some tough matches against strong opponents but couldn’t quite do it on the day, but well done for getting that far. In May Blue Jays entered a mixed team into a Charity Netball Tournament in Andover, great day of netball, great weather and they won the day.
